Q: One visitor asked, "I want to glue down 3/4 hardwood flooring over concrete slab. Is it possible and what problems will it cause?"

A: You could use an adhesive such as Bostiks Best. However, if is frequent that boards will be bent. When installing with a nail gun the force of the ram rod will usually straighten the board. How are you going to straighten them and keep them straight if you try to glue it down? Your best bet is to install plywood first, or get an engineered hardwood floor that is meant for this application.
